​AM I GOOD CANDIDATE FOR COSMETIC TATTOOING?

Unfortunately you are NOT a candidate if:​​

• You are under 18 years of age

• You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding

• You are undergoing Chemotherapy or have undergone Chemotherapy/been in remission for under one(1) year

• You suffer from Transmittable Blood Conditions such has AIDS, HIV, or Hepatitis

• You are allergic to cosmetics, pigmentation, needles, and/or anesthetics

• You suffer from keloid and hypertrophic scarring

• You suffer from active skin conditions such as cancer, severe sensitivity, eczema, psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis

• You suffer from bleeding disorders such hemophilia and have trouble healing from wounds

• You have a present open wound, undiagnosed rashes/blisters, and/or pimple on the area to be treated

• You have taken Accutane and/or other steroid medications within the one(1) year

• You experience post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation

• You are epileptic and experience faint spells or seizures

• You have no to very low tolerance of pain

• You have are prone to heavy sun and/or UV ray exposure

• You are unable to follow our COVID-19 Safety Guidelines, Policies, Pre-Care, and/or Aftercare instructions

IS MY HEALTH CONDITION A MAJOR FACTOR?

Unfortunately, health conditions do play a large role and may raise the risk of infections and/or poor healing results.

• If you regularly have to intake blood thinning prescription medications, you are unable to book at this time

• If you suffer from any serious health conditions, auto-immune disorders, heart conditions, diabetes, and/or under doctor care, you are unable to book at this time

• You must consult with your physician prior taking, altering, and/or stopping any form of medication and/or supplements, or making changes to you dosing cycle as we are unable to advise you in this area

• If you are unsure, please consult with your physician/doctor

• If we believe you are not a candidate, we will not proceed with the procedure. We have the right to refuse service to anyone for any reasons. Please do your research before you book as deposits are non-refundable.

WHO CAN I BRING TO MY APPOINTMENT?

Due to COVID-19 Safety Guidelines, we do not permit any guests (pets, children, spouses, etc.) at this time. NO exceptions.​ Our waiting lounges are currently closed and unavailable, in compliance with the City of Pasadena.

CAN I RECEIVE A CONSULTATION BEFORE?

We offer in depth consultations during the day of your procedure. Any questions or concerns can be addressed by emailing a clear photo to Hello@Browjelly.com for a complimentary online consultation. Please specify service.

DOES COSMETIC TATTOOING HURT?

We use topical anesthetic prior and throughout the entire procedure for minimal discomfort. We cannot guarantee as everyone has different reactions to numbing agents and have a different threshold to pain. Menstrual cycles may heighten sensitivity so please schedule accordingly. DO NOT take any painkillers prior to procedure.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED?

Like most cosmetic tattoo procedures, it is a 2-step process. A touch up within 6-8 weeks is highly recommended for desired results and to maintain longevity.

 

HOW WILL MY COSMETIC TATTOO LOOK?

Throughout the healing process, there will be a transitional period. Like any tattoo, there will be swelling and redness which will subside as they heal. The color will seem darker as it "oxidizes" wile the body is healing itself. The color softens up and will settle between 6-12 weeks, depending on your treatment. At the recommended touch up, we will assess the healed retention and make adjustments as necessary. Everyone heals quite differently and at different rates due to different skin types, lifestyles. For best results please follow our Pre-Care & Aftercare 

WILL MY SKIN TYPE AFFECT MY COSMETIC TATTOO RESULTS?

Yes, healed results vary by client and RESULTS CANNOT BE GUARANTEED. This is why different techniques are chosen based on client's skin type and lifestyle. For example, Microblading is NOT recommended for oily/combination skin types so we might suggest Nano, Powder, or Micro-Shading instead.

WHEN CAN I GET BOTOX OR FILLERS?

You can get Botox and/or Fillers as long as your appointments are 4 weeks apart.

IS YOUR STUDIO SAFE & CLEAN?​

Our facility is licensed, insured, and inspected + approved by the Pasadena Health Department. We are multi-certified in every service we offer, only using single use, sterile equipment, as well as single use PPE supplies. We use non-toxic, vegan, high quality pigments that is sterilized by gamma radiation. In addition, they have passed the resAP 2008 regulations. We are Bloodborne Pathogens certified and operate avoiding all cross contaminations. We disinfect before and after each procedure with medical grade disinfectants daily.

We recommend contactless pay during this time. We accept Cash, Venmo, Zelle, Apple Pay and all major credits cards with an additional 3% processing fee.
